The On-Site Group are looking for Monitoring Tecnician (admin / report writing experince) for a company thatprovidestesting services to the datacentre industry to test the cooling and power systems; customers include many globally recognised companies.

On some sitesa software is usedto remotely monitor customer data centres during testing and commissioning phase. At the end of testing a report is provided to the customer (using exported data and graphs from Ekkosense in Microsoft Word).

Job Description:

We are looking for a (full time) candidate with previous experience in administration and report writing.

  • Attending customer site to install sensor data collector and sensor
  • Attending customer sites to fault find with system
  • Using Ekkosense software, create 3D representation of data hall and populating with sensors
  • Monitor customer tests (from our offices), identifying issues (and resolving them)
  • File calibration certificates for test equipment and sensors, noting when calibration is due and organising recalibration
  • Preparation of reports to customers
  • Arranging routine maintenance of Ekkosense hardware and software
  • In house maintenance of systems / sensors, including reconfiguring sensors, changing batteries in sensors, firmware upgrades
  • Identifying new products or features that would benefit our customers


Skills/Requirements

Some of the essential requirements for the position include

  • Excellent IT skills are essential; including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good organisation skills and confidentiality
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal), as candidate will be dealing with customers and colleagues
  • Driving licence with own transport (as we are in remote location)

Training

Training for the Ekkosense software and USB download software and hardware. Reporting templates will be provided but the Technical Administrator will (working with Ekkosense technicians) develop the reports further. As required, attendance of Ekkosense offices for training and development,

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 15:30 or 09:00 to 17:00
  • 30 Minutes lunch break (paid) per day
  • 2 x 15 Minute tea breaks (unpaid) per day

Remuneration Package:

20-days paid annual leave (plus all public holidays paid)

25,000 - 28,000 (Depending on experience)
