Support Worker - Chichester - £12.00 -£12.80 phr - Various shifts available

Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a leading health care provider in Chichester to find compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team.

An enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 12 months will be required for this role and a Full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support based on assessed needs and preferences, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Community Engagement: Accompany individuals on outings, appointments, and social activities.
  • Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily notes and incident reports.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.
  • Shift Work: Work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.

About the Role:

  • Provide support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and domestic tasks.
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources, attending appointments, and engaging in meaningful activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development and implementation of support plans.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previously experience as a care assistant, in Social care or working with vulnerable people is an advantage
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and some sleep-ins.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, service user support.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in the health and social care sector (desirable).
  • Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Experience with Mental Health in young people or adults and if you hold a MHFA certificate - this is a bonus!
