A Day in the Life of a CPN:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse working in a Psychiatric Liaison Team, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care within urgent care settings. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting rapid mental health assessments and risk evaluations in A&E or general hospital wards.

  • Implementing crisis intervention strategies and liaising with the wider MDT.

  • Supporting individuals experiencing acute psychiatric crises.

  • Collaborating with inpatient units, community teams, and social services to coordinate care.

  • Providing clinical expertise and contributing to patient safety and care planning.

  • Ensuring accurate documentation in line with trust and legal standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN.

  • Essential experience in Psychiatric Liaison or Crisis Mental Health services.

  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • A car driver is essential for this role.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with flexibility on hours. The contract is for 3 months ongoing, with potential for extension based on performance and service demand.
