Do you want to deliver an exciting course to adult learners, that will build upon and enhance their Awareness of the Autism spectrum?

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Lecturer in Autism Awareness to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational sessions and workshops to adult learners, focusing on increasing understanding and awareness of autism. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for teaching, a strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions, and experience working with or teaching adults.

Key Responsibilities of ourAssociate Lecturer - Autism Awareness:

  • Undertaking, teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Contributing to the development of curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
  • Adopting a proactive approach to participation in appropriate meetings and training, as agreed with the curriculum area.

Our ideal Associate Lecturer - Autism Awareness should have the below skills and experience:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) in related subject
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • Relevant industrial/commercial/subject experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • An understanding of teaching and assessing learners

This is a bank Associate Lecturer role with variable hours, but core hours will be Wednesday 10:00am – 12:00pm at our Chichester Campus.
