Power Electronics Engineer - 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35)

Location: Hybrid working with 3 days on-site
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with possibility of extension)
Rate: Competitive, outside IR35

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join a leading company for a 6-month contract. This exciting role offers hybrid working, with the requirement to be on-site 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop magnetics solutions, including inductors, transformers, and integrated magnetics.
  • Conduct high voltage testing (greater than 1000V) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Design and capture PCB schematics for power circuits and signal circuits.
  • Lay out power and signal circuit PCBs, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet design and testing requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with magnetics design, including inductors, transformers, and integrated magnetics.
  • High voltage testing experience (>1000V) and associated safety protocols.
  • Strong experience in PCB schematics capture and layout for power and signal circuits.
  • A proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with power electronics components and systems.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools for magnetics design and PCB layout.
