Quality Engineer (Electronic Manufacturing)

Certain Advantage is hiring for a Quality Engineer, based in North East Hampshire.

This role is on a permanent basis and is primarily based at the manufacturing facilities, with occasional UK travel.

Are you a Quality Engineer, with a background in manufacturing, looking to step into a crucial role, for a renowned leader in the development of cutting-edge subsea instrumentation?

You will be integral to the business, working closely with Engineering, NPI, Sales, Purchasing and Operations to ensure excellent quality standards across the board. This will be a varied and versatile role, including project-based assignments.

The Company

We're working with a global leader in underwater technology, which delivers innovative solutions for navigation, positioning, monitoring and communication. With a focus on cutting edge engineering and sustainability, they support industries from Defence and Energy to Marine Science and Subsea exploration.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent quality engineering expertise to ensure products meet client requirements
  • Manage KPI's and ensure preventative actions are taken
  • Facilitate, train and support the business in the deployment of the Quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure supplier quality excellence
  • Aid productivity improvements with project-based activities, including NPI and manufacturing cell design to reduced waster, improve quality & safety, and reduce costs
  • Utilize FMEA where required
  • Manage and improve NCR system

The Individual

We're looking for people who can show:

  • Experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role type, within engineering / manufacturing
  • Experience in automotive, electronics, defence or aerospace industries
