HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for an Environmental & Sustainability Lead looking to elevate their career and be an integral part of driving strategy and shaping a greener future for a progressive and inclusive manufacturer.

The role will be focused on supporting senior leadership teams to drive their strategy in an environment that is state of the art, carrying out the sustainability agenda and coach and mentor teams.

Main Responsibilities:


  • Ensure ISO14001, IPPC, and EA permit compliance through operations.
  • Deliver work tasks within specified time, cost, and quality standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and support teams on environmental responsibilities.
  • Serve as a reference point for teams on environmental incident investigations.
  • Conduct planned inspections to meet environmental standards.
  • Assist HSE Manager in maintaining legal registers and providing advice.
  • Manage aspects and impacts register.
  • Maintain site protection monitoring plan and address sub-standard conditions.
  • Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation reports.
  • Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs.

Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:


  • Environmental qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of being involved in ISO 14001 verification audits
  • Experience with interpretation of full environmental legal compliance
  • Strong computer skills especially MS Excel
  • Experience working with the EA
  • Experience in supporting and leading audits
