Junior Estimator required by reputable regional Civil Engineering contractor on a permanent basis. Abatec is a recruitment agency assisting a Civil Engineering client that is well established in the Southwest. Our client is involved in various highways and earthworks schemes and are looking to add to their established team.
As a Junior Estimator you will:
- Be working in a supportive environment as part of a dynamic team responsible preparing multi-million-pound tenders.
- Analyse drawings and produce take offs and bills of quantities
- Prepare and send out tender enquiries to supply chain and review quotations received
- Help build up an accurate cost estimate for the works and assist with preparing the commercial tender for submission to the Client.
Our client requires a Junior Estimator with:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of estimating software, ie. Causeway
- 1 or 2 years of civil engineering industry experience
Salary and benefits include:
- 25,000 - 30,000 per annum
- 25 days holiday entitlement + 8 bank holidays
- 3% employer pension contribution, sick pay etc.
