1:1 Teaching Assistant (Part-Time) / SEND Support Assistant (Part-Time) - SN14

My client, a welcoming primary school in Wiltshire, is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. In this role, you’ll make a significant impact by supporting two children with Educational Health Care Plans, ensuring they receive the tailored care and guidance they need to thrive. This is a part-time position (22.75 hours per week - 2 days 8.45am-3.15pm and 3 days 8.45am-1.00pm) with varied hours, perfect for someone seeking a flexible role in a collaborative school community.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for named children with Educational Health Care Plans.
  • Implement effective strategies to encourage positive behaviour and learning outcomes.
  • Assist with day-to-day learning, both in class and during personal development activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Promote the school’s vision of "One Team, Working Together, Learning Together, Succeeding Together" through your daily interactions with students and staff.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a patient and fair approach to every child.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work independently, as well as take direction when needed.
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting is a plus.
  • Positive, forward-thinking, and with a great sense of humour.
