Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support Assistant - SN15

Are you passionate about helping children reach their full potential? My client, a forward-thinking primary school, is looking for a dedicated part-time Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on students’ academic and emotional development while working in a supportive, collaborative environment. This role would be working Monday to Friday for 12.5 hours per week (2 days) on a Fixed-term Contract until the end of the academic year.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs, including implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assisting with behaviour plans and promoting positive learning environments.
  • Encouraging independence and providing feedback on progress and achievements.
  • Helping to create a welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supporting teachers by preparing resources, recording progress, and assisting with displays.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Experience with emotional literacy or mental health support in children.
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with multilingual needs.
  • Ability to work closely with teachers and SENDCo to meet pupils' diverse needs.
  • Strong communicator with a calm and professional demeanor.
