About Us:

ARCA is working on behalf of a rapidly growing engineering scale-up based in Wiltshire seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join their dynamic team of 4 planners.

Role Overview:

As a Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of their supply chain. You will be responsible for accurately forecasting customer demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimise their supply chain processes. Your insights and analytical skills will be vital in driving data-driven decisions that support their growth objectives and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for our products, incorporating historical data, market trends, and sales input.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather insights and ensure alignment between demand forecasts and business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse inventory levels, adjusting forecasts and safety stock parameters to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
  • Manage demand planning processes to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of materials and finished goods.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage lead times, order quantities, and delivery schedules (Occasional travel required)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years+ proven experience as a Demand Planner, Supply Chain Analyst, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra) and advanced Excel skills.
