Our client, a reputable international manufacturer, is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join their Wiltshire site.

Following a multi-million pound investment, the project manager will be responsible for the installation of new machinery in the Wiltshire factory, the biggest site in Europe.

The Successful Individual will have:

A background in production/manufacturing project management

Experience in the management of managing multiple projects with capex £5million

You will have an Engineering Degree or equivalent

1. MAIN PURPOSE

The post-holder will be responsible for delivering assigned projects, ensuring that all project elements are being delivered safely to the agreed time, cost and quality. This includes responsibility for the planning and management works as well as managing stakeholders.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible to delivering assigned projects to agreed high standards of H&S and adherence to safe working practices in accordance with legislation

Manage internal and external stake holders, building strong relationships with sub- contractors and preferred suppliers, including the development of plans and budgets.

Deliver projects through to completion on time and within budget and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders, ensuring cost effective solutions which meet our quality expectations can be delivered to our clients.

Identify, reduce and manage all risks including technical, statutory, health and safety,

commercial or otherwise associated with each project.

Manage appropriate communication with key personnel.

Provide leadership and on the ground project management including supporting and coaching for project activity to operations teams engaged with projects. Working with other operational managers to ensure the collaborative deployment of the projects.

Lead plant Capex investment activity through project feasibility studies and proposal

development.

Manage, motivate and develop a team of three project engineers.

Share and implement best practice engineering and process improvement solutions.

Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments on secured projects.

3. COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB(i.e. The occupant manages vendors from different geographical regions with various financial and legal conditions and the level and impact of decisions the occupant needs to make, manages revenue, CAPEX, Sales, etc.)

The occupant manages projects within Chippenham facility to agreed H&S standards, budgets and timeframes. Development and management of project plans budgets and project management of vendors/contractors

Manages a team of project engineers and internal/external stakeholders, vendors,

contractors where applicable.

4.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LANGUAGE, & PHYSICAL5.Academic Level:

o Engineering graduate (B.Tech or BE) - Essential

o Project Management Degree - Desirable

o Lean manufacturing - Desirable

Language(s) and level of proficiency: English Fluent

Knowledge/Experience:

o Previous experience with an Engineering/Manufacturing background

o Previous experience of delivering all levels of projects to completion on time, in budget and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders

o Identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory H&S commercial and otherwise) associated with each project

o Experience of developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors and contractors to achieve goals

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong operational awareness
