Responsibilities:

  • Students with SEMH needs should get one-on-one and small-group support to enable them to participate in the learning process.

  • Help the instructor give lessons that are specifically designed to fulfil each student's emotional and learning needs.

  • Assist pupils in acquiring techniques for behavioural, emotional, and social control.

  • Create a welcoming and inclusive learning atmosphere where kids feel secure and encouraged.

  • Help with classroom management by putting positive behaviour support techniques into practice.

  • To guarantee a comprehensive approach to student development, collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and pastoral staff.

  • Track developments and offer helpful criticism to encourage students' development.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEMH students in an educational or care setting.

  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with complex needs.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Understanding of de-escalation strategies and behaviour management techniques.

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Must provide 2 professional references.
