Accounts Assistant | £25,000 - £28,000 + Study + Bonus | Chorley | Progression to Management Accountant | Rapidly-growing SME Axon Moore are proud to be working alongside a rapidly-growing SME in Chorley as they recruit either an ambitious Graduate or AAT studier who is able to hit the ground running in a varied Accounts Assistant role and, ultimately, capable of progressing to be their next Management Accountant. Working alongside a mentoring FC, this fantastic opportunity offers exceptional support and exposure as well as additional benefits.Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance purchase and sales ledgers
  • Accurately analyse and record financial transactions
  • Raising sales invoices and processing/posting purchase invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Collating payroll information
  • Chasing overdue debt and analysis of debtor ledger
  • Assist with inter-company reconciliations
  • Query resolution
  • Management of the fixed assets register, i.e. capitalisation, depreciation, and reconciliation
  • Setting up month-end spreadsheets on Excel
  • Provide financial information and analysis at divisional level
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Other ad-hoc duties and project support
Required Experience and Skills:
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational and time-keeping skills
  • Ability to take ownership of their role
  • Good IT and MS Excel skills
  • Flexible and able to cope with change
