Job Description

Centreco (UK), are a leading provider of solar energy systems to businesses within the UK.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to work from their office in Chorley, this is a full-time role working 35 hours per week.

As a Finance Assistant you will have access to a range of benefits including:

The focus of the role will be to support the Finance Manager and the day-to-day operations of the finance team.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Process Sales Invoices in accordance with agreed terms
  • Process Purchase Invoices in accordance with company policies
  • Complete weekly and monthly payroll for all staff, on a timely basis
  • Run aged debt reports and chase outstanding invoices
  • Contribute towards month-end reconciliations
  • Business partnering with Operations to monitor budgets and KPI targets
  • Process supplier payments for final approval by the directors
  • Any other ad-hoc duties to support the Finance Manager

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong IT skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in processing payroll data and current legislation
  • Good communications skills and effectively liaising with non-finance colleagues
  • Experience of working with Xero and Xero Payroll is highly desirable
  • Ability to organise own workload and meet tight deadlines
