This organisation is part of a large group, they turnover 200 million and are incredibly financially stable. They have over 50 members of employed staff, some are based at the head office in Chorley, but the majority travel around the country to provide support and assistance to their sites.

Their current Finance Manager has been within the business for 15 years, joining as a junior and working her way up to Management Accountant and more recently Finance Manager. They have a very stable team with a low staff turnover and a number of the team have been there for 10+ years. The team has a good culture, all help one another out and mixed in characters with some quiet and some more bubbly.

They are seeking a dynamic Credit Controller to join the business as a replacement. You will work alongside 3 other Credit Controllers within the finance team which currently has 9 other team members. You will own your own area of the sales ledger, building good relationships with customers and essentially be the 'good cop' with regards to collecting any outstanding money.

  • It is important that the candidates have worked on an AR ledger at least as part of their role and can demonstrate their ability to develop strong customer relationships.
  • You must also have a good working knowledge of the overall accounts process and ideally have other transactional finance skills.
  • You must be comfortable using Microsoft excel
  • Attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work to strict deadlines is a key attribute for this position


The position is paying up to £28500, 37.5 hours per week (1 hour lunch), office based.
