Veritas Education are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a primary SEN provision in Preston and Chorley. This is a specialist provisions which cater for children with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, Profound and multiple learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The role of our Teaching Assistants is to support the class teacher in the deliverance of lessons, support pupils who may need one to one support to help them progress, working with students in small groups to help them with their classwork and behaviour. Due to the nature of some of the children's needs, some elements of personal care may be required.

Requirements:

  • Have a good amount of experience working with students with ASC
  • Be able to confidently handle challenging behaviours
  • Have a nurturing and patient personality
  • Work well as part of a team

Important information

  • Monday - Friday
  • Temp to perm for the successful educator
  • Must have full availabity for the duration of the day
  • ASAP or September start
