We are seeking a dynamic Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to support the Supply Chain Manager in delivering a high-quality procurement and supply chain service. This role will involve managing multiple procurement projects, ensuring value for money, reducing risk, and enhancing the procurement function within the organisation.

Applicants must have experience of the following:
- CIPS qualified level 4
- Experience of RFQ/ITT processes and principles
- Strong procurement and supply chain experience within engineering, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
- Commercial knowledge with a proven ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Experience in preparing and managing tender documentation and supplier contracts.
- Understanding of industry best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Ability to analyse supply markets and introduce new suppliers where necessary.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ideally applicants should also have:
- Degree qualified in engineering, project management or equivalent

Role information:
- Act as the Supply Chain Manager's deputy when required.
- Support the delivery of strategic procurement objectives, engaging with stakeholders early in the process.
- Manage and execute multiple sourcing strategies, including supplier market analysis, cost driver identification, and contract negotiation.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy.
- Prepare and manage RFQ & ITT documentation, leading evaluation processes.
- Support contract negotiations, ensuring appropriate flow-down terms and compliance with NIS's commercial contracts.
- Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure seamless procurement integration and project success.
- Identify and implement procurement process improvements in line with industry best practices.
- Lead supplier selection and assessment to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
- Conduct regular review meetings with project managers to address potential supply chain issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Assist in closing out supplier non-conformances and drive 'Right First Time' initiatives across the supply chain.
