Shirley Parsons is thrilled to partner with a key client in the manufacturing sector who are seeking to appoint an HSE Manager following the recent promotion of the incumbent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global market leader with a strong reputation in their industry allied with a comprehensive H&S strategy at both local, national & global level. They are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual to help elevate their HSE standards and continue to implement cultural change.

The HSE Manager will be responsible for:

- driving best-in-class performance and compliance
- continue to drive positive HSE culture and implement initiatives
- review: risk assessments, ISO standards, SOPs, fire risk and emergency preparedness
- co-ordinate the internal audit programme
- walk arounds to interpret risk and build rapport with Ops staff and stakeholders
- become a facilities expert in terms of EHS risk and procedures


The HSE Manager will have:

- Must have experience of working within a medium or high-risk sector, including manufacturing, chemical, industrial, waste-to-energy, FMCG
- some exposure to process safety or COMAH would be advantageous
- Diploma preferred
- experience with most of: LOLA, PUWER, WRAS, WAH, confined spaces, noise & dust, fixed wiring
- Influencing skills, likeable personality, able to coach & mentor, driven to succeed, Lead Auditor
- adaptable under pressure, problem solver and a passion to learn and develop your skills
