Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths & Business Studies teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? An independent school that specialises in supporting students with additional needs, including SEMH and SEND, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced educator to join their team.

About the Role:

As a Key Stage 3 & 4 Maths and Business Studies Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students. You will be responsible for preparing students for their GCSE and Functional Skills exams, ensuring lessons are accessible and tailored to meet a range of learning needs. The school promotes a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach to education, placing student well-being at the heart of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths and Business Studies for KS3 and KS4.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and Functional Skills examinations.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND and SEMH.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, attending meetings, parents' evenings, and supporting extracurricular activities.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE, Level 5 qualification in education).
  • Experience teaching Maths and/or Business Studies at KS3/4 level.
  • Strong understanding of GCSE and Functional Skills curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Experience working in an SEN/SEMH setting is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to support a range of learning styles and abilities.
