About the Role:

As a Key Stage 3 Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students. You will be responsible for preparing students for their GCSE and Functional Skills exams, ensuring lessons are accessible and tailored to meet a range of learning needs. The school promotes a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach to education, placing student well-being at the heart of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths for KS3 and KS4.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and Functional Skills examinations.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND and SEMH.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, attending meetings, parents' evenings, and supporting extracurricular activities.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (PGCE, Level 5 qualification in education).
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3 level.
  • Strong understanding of GCSE and Functional Skills curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Experience working in an SEN/SEMH setting is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to support a range of learning styles and abilities.
