Location: Dorset

Salary: £16 - £20 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Full-time, Permanent)

 

 

About the Role

 

We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join our Production Team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will play a crucial role in producing precision sheet metal components to customer specifications using a variety of fabrication techniques and machinery.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manufacture sheet metal details according to customer drawings and tooling.
  • Operate a range of sheet metal machinery, including Wheeling Jigs, Rollers, Brake Press, Stretch Former, Shrinkers, and Stretching Machines.
  • Read and follow engineering drawings and planning sheets to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in line with health and safety standards.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet tight production deadlines.
  • Support other departments when required (following appropriate training).

 

 

Required Experience

 

  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft drawings and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience in hand-forming double-curvature aluminium and steel aircraft parts.
  • Full indentured apprenticeship in aviation or a similar field.
  • Experience in aircraft sheet metal production.

  • IT literacy and an understanding of ITAR/EAR compliance may be required.
