Overview
As a sheet metal worker, you will be responsible for fabricating high quality sheet metal components using a variety of hand tools and machinery. Established over 60 years ago, the business is renowned for providing high-quality engineering and manufacturing solutions to their customers in the global aerospace industry.
This position offers a 4-day working week! (37 hours Monday – Thursday).
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a sheet metal worker will include:
- Setting up and operating fabrication machinery such as press brakes and guillotines
- Using hand and power tools to finish components
- Assembly of sheet metal products
- Basic inspection of completed work
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
Background
The successful sheet metal worker will have:
- Previous experience working with producing sheet metal products
- The ability to operate metal work machinery such as press breaks and guillotines.
- An understanding of aerospace materials and their properties.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and diagrams
- Enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work to the high level of accuracy required in the aerospace industry.
