Senior Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional with a strong background in heavy industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar sectors?
We've been engaged by a leading specialist industrial technology manufacturer to recruit a Senior Environment, Health and Safety Manager. The organisation support the chemical, environmental, food and medical industries and this role will be responsible for their four key sites predominantly based in the Shropshire area.
The company are leaders in health and safety and have an exceptional track record, this role will join the existing health and safety team and will play a key part in the organisations continuing success.
Responsibilities for the Senior Environment, Health and Safety Manager will include:
- Ensuring the sites are fully compliant with UK legislation
- Leading a small team of Environment, Health and Safety professionals, ensuring full compliance with HSE regulations and Environmental Permitting requirements, with a strong focus on DSEAR and Management regulations
- Auditing safety, health and environmental performance, accurately reporting and investigating incidents and near misses
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies
The successful Senior Environment, Health and Safety Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a related manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical or related environment
- NEBOSH or equivalent and membership of IOSH, ideally working towards or hold the Diploma
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging clients, staff, and contractors
- Experience of working with ISO management systems
- IEMA certificate/Environmental qualification (desirable)
