Production Operative / Church Stretton / £12ph

We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client, a leading Life Sciences organisation based in Church Stretton. We are seeking individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of a manufacturing facility. From accurately picking and packing orders to ensuring smooth incoming deliveries, your responsibilities will encompass key stages of the product life cycle. You'll work closely with the Materials Production team, adhering to EH&S and Quality guidelines while contributing to Continuous Improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and pack orders for onward distribution.
  • Handle incoming deliveries, verifying goods against documentation, and complete the incoming receiving process.
  • Perform inventory counts in designated storage locations.
  • Prepare, dispense, and finalise packaging of products for distribution.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
  • Work carefully according to EH&S and Quality guidelines.
  • Accurately record all process tasks.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Support Materials Production team on site projects and initiatives.

  • Ability to accurately follow work instructions and record information.
  • Strong attention to detail in task execution.
  • Open and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork capabilities.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new working methods.

Additional Experience (Desirable, Not Essential)

  • Hands-on work experience in manufacturing or laboratory settings.
  • Familiarity with SAP manufacturing systems.
  • Experience working to ISO9001 Quality standards.
  • Forklift driving license.

This role is an 18-month Temporary contract, 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
