Bennett and Game are currently communicating with a Chartered Surveyors and Architectural Practice based in Cirencester who are looking to grow their team. The role is due to a strong project pipeline and provides a strong benefits package with a salary of £50k plus dependant on experience.

A significant percentage of their work is in the residential sector on traditional and Listed buildings. Most of their projects are located in the Southwest of England, predominantly in the Cotswolds. Their client base includes private clients, rural estates, local authorities, charities, developers and contractors. The projects are diverse including restoration and conservation, to new build residential and commercial schemes, domestic extensions, alteration, and the maintenance of public buildings.

Chartered Building Surveyor Job Overview
  • Inspect properties and prepare reports for Building Surveys, mostly to RICS Level 3 and some Level 2,
  • Carry out inspections and prepare reports and schedules for dilapidations and maintenance purposes, identify structural faults and recommend repairs
  • Assess damage for insurance purposes
  • Advise clients on issues such as property boundary disputes
  • Be prepared to act as an expert witness in legal proceedings
  • Assess properties and development schemes to ensure they meet building regulations, fire safety, accessibility and other standards
  • Prepare and manage planning and building control and other statutory applications
  • Project management/contract admin JCT
Chartered Building Surveyor Job Requirements
  • MRICS qualified
  • Full driver's licence and own vehicle. .
  • Have a working knowledge of planning and heritage legislation and Building Regulations.
  • Onsite experience, project management & contract administration (JCT suite)
  • AutoCAD experience
