Regulatory Support Officer

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Regulatory Support Officerto join our team.

In this role, you will provide crucial support across various licensing specialisms, ensuring that all aspects of the licensing process run smoothly and efficiently. This is a dynamic role that includes conducting field visits, gathering and assessing information, supporting investigations, and processing various licensing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field visits and investigations across multiple sites as required.
  • Gather and assess information following initial customer contact and triage.
  • Support officers in investigations and the administration of license applications.
  • Process applications for Temporary Event Notices and taxi/private hire licensing.
  • Provide accurate advice on all aspects of licensing.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Manage your workload effectively to meet targets and service demands.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out with discretion, integrity, and in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

This is a replacement role covering the Cotswolds, famous for quintessentially English market towns and villages built from honey-coloured stone. With a range of gently rolling hills and the largest area of outstanding natural beauty in England making it a perfect base for walking and cycling, you will have this right on your doorstep.  With our agile working ethos: you will be spoilt for choice.

You will need…

  • A minimum of 5 qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or GCSE Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Competence in using a range of technology and software packages, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite. 

Special Conditions…

  • Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Flexibility to work at various Publica Group locations as required.
  • Willingness to work additional hours in line with service needs.
