Account Handler - Commercial - About the role
You will play a key role in maintaining and nurturing client relationships while ensuring their insurance needs are met effectively and efficiently. By delivering tailored solutions, you will contribute directly to client satisfaction, retention, and the overall growth of the business. You’ll work closely with Account Executives, providing expert advice and supporting the team in delivering exceptional service that adheres to the highest standards of professionalism and compliance.
Account Handler - Commercial - Key duties
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their individual insurance needs. Provide expert advice and respond promptly to client queries, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Policy Administration: Accurately process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations within agreed timelines. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with company procedures.
Insurer Negotiation: Liaise with insurers to secure the best terms and coverage for clients. Negotiate premiums and coverage terms to achieve favourable outcomes.
Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and the Group’s internal standards. Stay informed on regulatory and market changes to ensure accurate advice.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with Account Executives and colleagues to deliver seamless client support. Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.
Account Handler - Commercial - Key requirements
Experience in a similar account handling role within the insurance sector or specialism.
Knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
Proficiency in using insurance platforms and client management systems.
Strong understanding of compliance responsibilities, including FCA regulations, Consumer Duty obligations, and other relevant standards.
Proven ability to ensure all client and policy documentation meets regulatory and company compliance requirements.
Experience with Acturis or similar insurance systems.
Desirable: • ACII qualification or a willingness to work towards it. •
