Assistant Finance Manager

Our global IT client based in Cirencester offering a multitude of benefits, is recruiting an Assistant Finance Manager to join their team. The role will be a team management role, managing a team of upto 14 in leading both the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions across 2 legal entities.

Role will be split - Accounts receivable 35%. Accounts payable 35%. Month end, general accounts 30%

Hybrid working possible once probation is completed ( maxumum 2 days a week at home).

The responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Finance Manager to lead and manage the AR & AP team ensuring it functions smoothly.
  • Day to day management of 9 staff with the support of 2 team leaders
  • Be a point of reference for information and procedural advice & queries for the team
  • Be the first point of call for all inter-departmental information and advice
  • Ensure AR ageing items are escalated and resolved within a timely manner
  • Ensure cash collection is maximised.
  • To ensure AP issues are escalated and resolved in agreed timescales.
  • To include internal and external audit requirements
  • Accruals and prepaids
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury processes.

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • AAT Level 4. Studying towards ACCA or CIMA an advantage but not essential or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of team management
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, experience of Navision is preferred.
