Reed Finance are partnering with an environmental Charity seeking a Director of Finance to enhance their financial performance and business operations.

With a diverse portfolio, they aim to grow their grant-giving capacity, improve business planning and decision-making, and establish new partnerships.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with Trustees, the Director of Finance will lead the finance team and oversee compliance, governance, and Health & Safety. This leadership role will promote a culture of accountability and transparency, ensuring the organisation's financial health and regulatory compliance.

Salary neg circa. £80,000 + benefits including: 10% employer pension contribution (5% from employees) + 27 days annual leave, plus statutory holidays and additional leave between Christmas and New Year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Ensure robust financial reporting and manage audits.
  • Lead and support the finance team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee strategic financial planning and business case development.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage risk and maintain the organisation's Risk Register.
  • Engage with stakeholders and prepare reports for committees and the Board.

Person specification:

A qualified senior finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a good understanding of charity finance management, demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, expertise in long-term financial strategy development, strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance, and proficiency in preparing and presenting financial reports to boards and stakeholders.
