Our client are specialists in high quality precision parts, they are now looking for an individual who is instrumental for the companies purchasing and supply chain requirements.

Purchasing Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise and control material orders to ensure that it is on time, within budget and to high-quality standards
• Be responsible for the day to day management of the purchasing department
• Continuous improvement of the purchasing systems
• Increase value, reduce costs and manage sub-contract orders
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, improve prices and supplier terms
• Maintain price lists and material costings to accurate reflect quotations and sales contracts
• Purchase goods, materials, components and services as required
• Management of Supplier Management reviews and Supplier ratings
• Dealing with material issues and supplier returns
• Dealing with Conflict Minerals/REACH/RoHS/PFAS
• Month End reporting

The ideal Purchasing Manager will:

• Have previous experience with a Purchasing role
• Have a proven track record of negotiating with suppliers for favourable terms
• Have demonstratable leadership skills
• Understands how MRP works and can production plan in a clear and concise manner
