KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting students with their academic and personal growth by fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Assisting teaching and delivery staff in planning and delivering sessions/activities to meet individual learner needs.
Promoting independence, equality, diversity and respect.
Supporting student progress, both on a group and one to one basis.
Supporting students with social skills development.
Reporting learner absences to parents/guardians.
Updating classroom registers and reporting learner absences to parents/guardians and/or other organisations involved in the students care.
Classroom management.
Supporting the teaching and delivery staff with preparation of resources.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 18 months experience of supporting teachers/tutors in a classroom environment. Preferably in a secondary school setting.
Good communication skills including a minimum grade 4 (or equivalent) in both English and Maths
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
