Job Purpose
  • Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the Senior Management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
  • Preparation of year-end acccounts for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders
  • Preparation of personal and corporation tax computations and returns
  • Involvement in ad-hoc work projects to further support Senior Managers and Directors
  • Oversee client workflow and internal management of resources
  • Supervise junior staff, reviewing work and supporting their professional development
  • Liaise with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries
  • Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency
  • Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations
  • Champion your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements
  • ACCA / ACA qualified or equivalent, part qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience would also be considered
  • A general practice background
  • Working knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
  • Strong working knowledge of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Excellent financial modelling and data interpretation skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation
  • A team player who can also work autonomously
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
