A Senior Verification & Test Engineer is sought by a globally recognised organisation specialising in advanced engineering solutions for high-tech manufacturing processes. The company is dedicated to driving innovation and supporting clients in achieving sustainable production outcomes.
Reporting to the Lead Verification & Test Engineer, under the direction of the Systems Engineering Manager, this role will undertake verification and test activities for manufacturing equipment. The role spans from concept to customer commissioning and field trials, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, and delivered on time, within budget, and to specification through best-practice engineering. The role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, team leaders, project managers, manufacturing, service, and customer representatives.
Main Responsibilities
- Undertake verification and test (V&T) activities across projects, collaborating effectively to achieve project milestones through to completion.
- Lead V&T activities as requested, ensuring successful progression through project milestones.
- Support the development of robust V&T plans for products, modules, and sub-assemblies in accordance with company processes.
- Verify and test designs to ensure they meet stated requirements and conform to relevant standards, directives, and regulations through calculation, virtual testing (simulation), or physical testing.
- Ensure contributions positively impact solution quality, cost, and task timelines, taking pride in work accuracy.
- Document verification and testing activities thoroughly and in a timely manner, adhering to requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify V&T work packages and resolve engineering issues.
- Work across multiple cross-functional teams to influence project direction and deliver innovative projects on time, cost, and scope.
Experience & Skills
- Engineering Degree (Bachelor’s, Essential) or demonstrable equivalent.
- Registered Incorporated Engineer or working towards registration with a recognised engineering institution.
- Accreditations or formal qualifications in Systems Engineering, Verification & Validation, or Functional Safety.
- Extensive experience in verification and test in product design within a related engineering industry.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering per INCOSE Manual v5 / ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288.
- Understanding of working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry, with knowledge of product safety and compliance to standards like EN 61511, safety/design review methods (PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA), semiconductor industry standards (SEMI S2), and risk assessment (Semi S10). (Desirable)
- High integrity with a results-driven mindset, able to hold self and others accountable. (Essential)
- Knowledge of best-practice verification, test, and engineering principles.
- Ability to concisely report technical deliverables and requirements to engineers, project managers, and project teams.
- Calm, professional manner with strong prioritisation, problem-solving, and planning skills, adaptable to changing requirements.
- Resilience under pressure, with the ability to collaborate with experienced peers for creative and pragmatic solutions.
- Enthusiasm for exploring new solutions and practical problem-solving skills.
