Our client, a leading bearings manufacturer for aerospace and automotive industries, seeks a Quality Inspector Operative to ensure high standards through accurate inspections.

This is an interesting and varied position, the successful candidate will be on the shop floor inspecting and measuring components and completing the reports that’s required within quality standards.

What would you do?

  • ·Located on the shop floor, inspecting and measuring components
  • ·Support manufacturing process requirements
  • ·Work to aerospace quality standards
  • ·Liaise with manufacturing personnel to aid the successful resolution of all issues
  • ·Actively participate and support Manufacturing Excellence
  • ·Uphold Health and Safety Regulations

What are we looking for?

  • ·Experience in inspection/measurement of aerospace components
  • ·Ability to use a wide range of inspection equipment – including micrometers, DTI’s, verniers, air gauges
  • ·Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • ·Understanding of geometric tolerancing
  • ·Ability to produce FAIR’s to AS9102 standards - (Aerospace quality standard)
  • ·Eyesight to J1 (corrected vision if necessary)
  • ·CMM experience – good to have but not essential
  • ·Ability to work to local quality standards
  • ·Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing (5s, Material Flow)
