Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Salary: £15.50 per hour plus £70 per sleep in. Equating to £37,348 (8 sleeps per month) per annum
Hours: Full-Time | Permanent

We are looking for a committed and proactive Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day running of our children’s residential home. Please note: experience of working in an Ofsted-regulated home is essential for this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior residential practitioner or current Deputy looking to develop their leadership skills and contribute to a high-quality, child-focused service.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of managing the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting best practice and a consistent, nurturing environment.
Assist with care planning, safeguarding and quality assurance processes.
Take on management duties in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Build strong working relationships with external professionals, families and the wider care team.

Essential Requirements:

Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential setting is essential.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards.
Sound knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations and relevant legislation.
Leadership qualities with a supportive and resilient approach.
A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
