The ClientJoin a market-leading and forward-thinking community healthcare services provider in Leicestershire. Our client supports primary and secondary care services, offering top-notch Dermatology, ENT, and Audiology services to patients referred from GP services and NHS Trusts.

The RoleWe are seeking a Clinical Healthcare Assistant for our Community ENT and Minor Surgery Clinics in Leicestershire. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting medical staff during consultations, examinations, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Preparing and maintaining clinical environments, ensuring sterilization and readiness of instruments.
  • Supporting patient positioning and draping during procedures.
  • Accurate labeling of specimen bottles.
  • Assisting with patient preparation, including explaining processes and obtaining consent.
  • Providing post-procedural care and instructions to patients and families.
  • Performing routine equipment checks and reporting any issues.
  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team, including doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.

The CandidateIdeal candidates should be compassionate with a patient-centered approach to care and uphold high professionalism and ethical standards. You will need:

  • An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ENT or minor surgery.
  • Current mandatory training, including Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with electronic patient record systems and certifications in ENT or minor surgery assistance is preferred but not required.
