CMM Operator (Contract)

Location: Coalville, Leicestershire

Responsibilities:

• Perform precise measurements using the Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex 9106 CMM.
• Generate detailed inspection reports using Mitutoyo's MCOSMOS V4.2 software.
• Conduct inspections of manufactured parts to ensure compliance with specified tolerances and customer requirements.
• Set up new jobs on the CMM, ensuring correct fixture alignment and program selection.
• Produce and analyse inspection reports to support quality control efforts.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating CMM machines, particularly Mitutoyo.
• Proficiency in Mitutoyo MCOSMOS V4.2 software for measurement and reporting.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and reporting.
