Learning Support Assistant

This Secondary and Post-16 SEND school, based in Haltwhistle, Northumberland is looking to appoint a passionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to work on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary and Secondary school as part of an established team, the desired SEMH Learning Support Assistant will be working on a small group sized basis with pupils with SEND including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties as well as Attachment and Trauma. This full time SEMH Learning Support Assistant role is long term from February ongoing.

The desired SEMH Learning Support Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • An ability to deal with fast paced situations.
