Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a Building Services Contractor based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering mechanical building services packages on large new build projects across the public & private sectors.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.
  • Lead and motivate a project team to ensure performance and productivity.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage change orders, claims, and variations in line with project specifications.
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with clients to secure repeat business opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in mechanical or engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and scheduling.
