IT Infrastructure and Platform Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and optimisation of hybrid cloud platforms, ensuring uptime, performance, and scalability.
  • Promote an "automation-first" approach, employing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), serverless computing, and AI-driven operations to streamline processes.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes in alignment with SLAs and KPIs to ensure reliable service delivery.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team, fostering a culture of innovation and ownership.
  • Develop and maintain robust data protection, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on infrastructure projects, including migrations and upgrades, while maintaining rigorous change control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and develop roadmaps for next-generation infrastructure and AI-driven operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing critical IT infrastructures in high-availability, 24/7 environments.
  • Expertise in hybrid cloud technologies, IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and serverless architectures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on creating a customer-centric culture.
  • Thorough understanding of networking, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and capacity management.
  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and security standards (e.g., NIST).
  • Prior experience in a service provider environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Exposure to containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker is highly desirable.
