Our client Scottish Power Renewables are seeking a Project Manager with Solar experience for an on-going contract role based in Glasgow.

As a Project Manager within our Onshore Business Development area, you’ll be at the heart of our exciting journey. You will ensure the effective delivery of Onshore Renewable projects to meet SPR’s ambitious pipeline growth targets.
This means that you’ll focus on the delivery of planning consents/permits for the projects with all necessary financial approval and budgetary control associated. You will employ strong relationships with all major stakeholders to lead and recommend appropriate project and commercial strategies. Most activities will be desk based however, you will travel to (Scotland/UK/Overseas) facilitate project meetings and site visits.
Your Project Management capability and experience will be supported by a qualification in a relevant Planning/Environmental or Technical discipline. We’ll expect you to have experience of renewable project design techniques and/or experience of consenting major infrastructure projects in the UK, as well as detailed Environmental Impact Assessment knowledge and awareness. All of this will be supported by your strong negotiation and influencing skills and knowledge of the local and national planning process. Be an innovative and creative thinker, excellent communicator and you must be highly organised and used to working to very challenging deadlines
