Reed Scientific is partnering with an industry leading and innovative company based in Surrey who product yeast for the beer and brewing industries. They have an opening for an experienced microbiologist with excellent experience within yeast production.  

Duties of the role:

  • Managing yeast slope production and ensuring yeast production targets are met
  • Ensuring quality standards are met within yeast production
  • Identifying and developing new yeast products
  • Liaising with clients and customers

Skills/Experience required:

  • BSc/MSc in the Life Sciences – including Microbiology related modules
  • Industry experience working within a Microbiology laboratory performing general microbiology tasks
  • Experience with manufacturing yeast, ideally within a brewery laboratory, although this isn’t essential
  • Strong people management skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
