Bookkeeper
- Part-time (1 day per week, flexible on it being Tues, Weds or Thurs)

- Pay: £20.00- £25.00 per hour depending on experience.
We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join our team at a well-established Electrical and Mechanical Services company. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and proficiency in QuickBooks. The position opens as our current bookkeeper, who has excellently served us for five years, is set to retire.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage both sales and purchase ledger postings and reconciliations.
- Handle bank account postings and reconciliation.
- Take responsibility for VAT, CIS, and core payroll processes including NEST Auto Enrolment Pension.
- Conduct intercompany transactions and reconciliations between Electrical and Mechanical Divisions.
- Oversee expenses posting and reconciliation.
- Perform year-end closing reviews and prepare necessary journals.
- Liaise with the company accountant as required.
- Manage payroll, which is currently set up with QBO Standard Payroll for the Electrical Division and QBO Core Payroll for the Mechanical Division, covering 11 employees in Electrical and 2 in Mechanical, processed monthly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience and very competent with QuickBooks/Online Accountant/Excel.
- Previous experience in handling similar bookkeeping responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various departments and the company accountant.
