About the Role: Reporting to the Payroll Manager, as Payroll Officer, you will be integral to our clients finance team. Your main tasks will involve:

  • Managing comprehensive payroll processes including calculations of PAYE, FPS, and EPS submissions.
  • Manually calculating statutory payments such as SMP, SPP, and SSP.
  • Understanding and applying NIC for new joiners and managing adjustments.
  • Addressing and resolving queries related to tax code changes and National Insurance updates.
  • Conducting thorough checks and balances within the payroll process to ensure accuracy.
  • Preparing and submitting pension data to various providers.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in payroll regulations and ensuring compliance.

About You:

  • You have a robust background in payroll, with at least 2-3 years of experience, preferably in a payroll bureau, commercial, or practice setting, managing multiple payroll cycles.
  • Proficiency in payroll software such as Sage, Iris, or Staffology is highly desirable.
  • Your communication skills are strong, allowing you to interact effectively with both clients and team members.
