We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality education in English literature and language, and who is looking to impact our students positively while maintaining a work-life balance.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in English.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, attainment, and behaviour of students.
- Provide appropriate feedback on work and to foster student growth.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an English Teacher.
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures.
- Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills.
