Neighbourhood Officer

  • Maintain the Neighbourhood team’s administrative systems, databases, and ensure accurate financial and statistical records.
  • Update void reports and spreadsheets for General Needs Voids
  • Co-ordinate allocations and voids for the housing team, liaising with prospective tenants, interviewing applicants, seeking references
  • Responsible for end of tenancy pre-inspections; assisting with booking home visits
  • Oversee void processes: such as chairing and recording weekly void meetings; liaising with surveyors, etc.
  • Support resident involvement activities, including consultations, surveys, service promotion, and updating publications or website content
  • Assist with housing services administration, including tree works, budgets, tenancy audits, tenant profiles, parking permits, and related projects
  • Support former tenant arrears collection, liaise with solicitors, and provide information for the Operations Manager
  • Manage end of tenancy processes, such as filing, archiving and returning credits
  • Involved in reception duty rota and GDPR compliance for the housing team
  • Excellent administration skills
  • IT Literate
  • Highly organised
  • Strong attention to detail and able to prioritise workload
  • Strong communicator
