Quality Manager required for a leading manufacturing business in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

Are you ready to take your career to new heights? A leading business in the engineering sector is seeking a passionate and dedicated Quality Manager to join their dynamic team.

This role is working a day shift Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) and it comes with an attractive annual salary up to £48,000 per annum (dependant on experience).

Due to the nature of the business, the hiring manager would preferably like someone who has worked within a Vehicle / HGV / LGV Manufacturer, but they would consider someone who has worked within Heavy Manufacturing / Heavy Engineering.

Proven experience within Quality Engineering / Quality Management is Essential, and the hiring manager is also looking for someone with proven skills in Fabrication, Welding & Heavy Engineering / Heavy Manufacturing.

What You Will Do:

  • Driving improvements and compliance with ISO 9001 and VCA standards.
  • Lead and manage technical projects across functional teams, focusing on non-conformities and incident root cause analysis.
  • Enhance and maintain Quality Control procedures, ensuring best practice across all operations.
  • Develop and foster effective working relationships across departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into customer complaints and internal non-conformances, devising corrective and preventative actions.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, contributing to the improvement of business KPIs and customer delivery.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar Quality Manager role within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of ISO9001, Vehicle Type Approval, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to tackling quality concerns.
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of technical discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A passion for quality improvement and a drive to instil a positive cultural change within the workplace.
