JHP Recruitment are seeking a diligent and skilled Quality Assurance Officer to join our Food and Drink Manufacturing client based in Tonyrefail, Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time, permanent basis.As Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring food safety and quality excellence throughout the sourcing, manufacturing and distribution of a range of products.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure food safety and quality throughout all teams
  • Provide leadership and direction to the site technical team
  • Drive a risk-based approach to managing food safety, ensuring compliance with customer policies and external certifications
  • Manage internal audits to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain quality management systems and ensure compliance with BRC and retailer codes of practice
  • Maintain and evolve the quality management system in line with industry advances and customer requirements
  • Coordinate and lead all customer visits and audits
  • Build strong relationships with customers to meet their needs and develop quality plans
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to handle customer complaints and queries effectively
  • Define and implement food safety and quality learning and development

Skills & Qualities Required:

  • Experience in FMCG, with team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of BRC compliance and audits
  • Strong project management skills
