Job purpose

Assist the Process Engineer in delivering business improvements throughout the Company. Liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers to deliver cost effective, timely business solutions. Build robust relationships with all business partners and departments.

Main responsibilities/job accountabilities

  • Deliver support and assistance to the Process Engineer. 
  • Carry out Process Engineering Improvements either at PE direction or own initiative
  • Undertake process measurements - including regular torque checks
  • Deliver and maintain process equipment, jigs and fixtures either at the direction of the PE or own initiative
  • Strictly following health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Documentation of routine manufacturing processes
  • Reporting of data to senior colleagues
  • Close adherence to internal SOPs and external regulations
  • Quick and effective diagnosis of routine problems in their process
  • Confidence and abilities to troubleshoot problems
  • Awareness of when to involve senior staff in more complex problems
  • Carry out Time and Motion studies.
  • Carry out Risk assessments considering ergonomics, Health and Safety and providing best possible manufacturing practices.
  • Regular torque testing and recording of all identified equipment
  • Data collection and analysis to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Deliver cost effective, timely improvements as required
  • Liaise with sub-contractors in the pursuit of process improvements etc.
  • Continually monitor and improve jigs, fixtures, test equipment & processes 
  • Undertake "hands on "improvement activities including the design, make and testing of jigs, fixtures and fittings.
  • Liaise with other departments to identify areas of opportunity throughout the business
  • Undertake all paperwork and recording activities as required including raising Purchase Orders as required

  • Business Improvements delivered on time and at cost - including new product introductions

Hours and Salary

  • Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm
  • Friday 8.30am - 3pm
